is complete! Well fundamentally anyway. Not feeling in the mood for multitasking and hard labour on Sunday I am afraid that the wet weekend that was my frame of mind only managed to struggle to the allotment for about an hour, however, I did manage to achieve a certain amount.<\/p>\n
The raspberry canes and rubharb had arrived earlier in the week and were sitting by the front door mournfully, awaiting to be planted. Starting at me everytime I passed causing guilt and those “I should but can’t be bothered” quotes to fly throught ones head. Finally, only because Mary phoned me and said that she was going, I managed to don the wellies and get up. One hour later and all the raspberries and the two Rubharb plants were in place and summer alley was finally looking indeed like an alley rather than just a row. All the plants are now in so its just a case of putting in the uprights to cordon the currant bushes and to tie the raspberry canes in later in the year. Hopefully Mary’s dream of gliding through the alley with her trug and Laura Ashley dress will come through to fruition.<\/p>\n
In other news there are only 3days to go now until I hope to hear the “cheep cheep” of tiny little chicken feet. Can’t wait. I haven’t been able to candle the eggs as the shells are too thick but they are weighted differently so I know there’s something in there….whether its something good remains to be seen!
