I’m came across an intriguing video today thanks to a Twitter friend. Whilst its no shock discovery that yes, plants convert CO2 to O2, three key plants have been discovered that could provide huge benefits to humans when kept in the house. Kamal Meattle, a researcher from Delhi, discoverd that by the use of\u00a0 4 Areca Palms (Chrysalidocarpus lutescens), 6 – 8 Mother-in-law’s Tongue (Sanseveiria trifasciata) and a number of Money Plants (Epiremnum aureum) theoretically you could sustain a human with all the air they needed in a closed bottle!!<\/p>\n
Now, whilst this may not be true, and people may not want to fill their houses with 15 – 20 odd plants, I’ll support anything that brings a bit of green into everybody’s world. And with a growing drain on energy due to air conditioning units providing clean air which could be given free by a nice green friend, then it’s certainly something to support.<\/p>\n
I’m going to give it a go, I’ll let you know whether my production levels go up and I start bouncing around like Tigger! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
