I had my eye on a row of pots of post-flowering aquilegia at my local florist this past week; perfectly healthy plants, but clearly past their sell-by date in the middle of the city (people want plants that flower NOW or at the very least tomorrow; not next year…), but I waited too long for the prices to be reduced to a pittance and the plants must have ended up in a bin… (And if I’d had access to the bin area I’d have gone in looking for them, but sadly it’s gated off.)
I think there’s definitely a very good logic to buying these fly traps, and I hope they perk up with some TLC. (And some time away from kids.)
